Botak 2-2 OCS HQWith Du's name once again missing from the team-sheet, the home fans arrived wondering where the goals were going to come from against a tough looking OCS side.
Botaks had suffered heavy casualties as in form midfielder Mel tore his hamstring in a training session prior to the match. And the aggressive CB Liang suspects a tear in his cruciate ligament. However Botaks welcome back the services of Dillon(MIA), Choo(MIA) and Andy(torn knee ligament)
However, the visitors created an excellent chance to take the lead, the home side had more than their fair share of possession and might themselves have gone in ahead at the break. HB mis controlled in his own half and allowed the OCS striker to slip home a 1-0 lead.
However the lead did not last long as HB made amends with a dipping cross-shot from the right flank which beat the goalie and hit the bottom of the left post before hitting the net, 1-1. His first ever goal for Botaks!
There was little to choose between the sides, As play switched quickly from end to end, the visitors went 2-1 up half way into the 2nd half. but Jian levelled the scoreline once again with a lobbing freekick which beat ocs goalie and Botaks broke into cheers!
Botak's best chance came in 2nd-half injury-time when Teoh escaped from his marker on the left and squared a shot which was palmed away by the ocs goalie.
It was a heavily contested match and good effort there Botaks! esp Choo whu has shown a tremendous improvement in fitness and pace and claims that he's been swimming regularly

OK regarding the fishing trip, here are more details...
We can bring as many people as we want, as the boat is quite big. more people = less cost, as it will be a shared cost for renting the boat and hiring the boatman. Now it should be around $300 SD.
We can also bring along our own fishing rods / equipments which i know huang jian has. thats about it... pictures will be up soon once i get them i'll post it...
Also, anyone interested to go JAPAN in April? april is the season to visit japan, as the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
As for the ORD trip which will be in june, it will coincide with world cup in germany. SO if we save some money now, we can at least watch one live match in germany. I read in the newspapers that there is one company that specialises in this. If you guys really want, we have to start planning now, part trip in europe, part world cup experience.

Dear All,
Here is a broad schedule of some plans which we can all embark on before school starts. Please Reply to me ASAP on who’s going for what, preferably by the middle of this week. (Thursday latest)
In CHRONOLOGICAL sequence:
April (6th, 7th, 8th): 3D/2N Fishing Trip in Open Waters (botaks only)
For this, I’ll be posting the photos once I receive them from my Sister’s father-in-law. (Technically my father-in-law as well) Cost I’ll confirm with him as well. It is the kind of trip whereby after you pay, you are the king, and the boatman will do all the hard work for you, (e.g. Preparing baits, equipments) All you need to do is just sleep until we reach the fishing grounds, then can go swimming, laze around, and catch sea monsters! The fishes are really quite big, and I think it will be very fun. However, I’ll also need to check the number of people I can bring, as my uncle is also going with his friends. So revert to me early about this.
May (11th to 15th): 3D/2N Open Waters Kayak in Perak (call your friends too)
Organised by People’s Association (PA) Sea Sports Club, it will be a real Sea expedition, where we leave on the 11th at 2130hrs by bus to Perak, and then start our expedition probably by dawn the next day. For those who had gone to OBS, this should be familiar to you guys. We will have to camp/pitch tents and cook, and experience the sea and the night sky where there is no light pollution. Promises to be fun and we can ask anyone who is interested to come join us. We will also experience using sea faring kayaks (I think), like the scimitar or the penguins, something you probably may not have a chance to try in normal circumstances. (Things like having a foot controlled rudder, thin hull, storage compartments etc.) It’s all very cool, but here comes the bad part.
$360 (includes bus rides, insurance, kayak, camping equipments etc.)
Minimally must have 2 Star Kayak Proficiency Cert.
So if you guys don’t mind the $360 (which is very cheap already), I have planned how you can obtain your 2 Stars before May.
March (5th, 12th): 1Star Kayaking Proficiency
March (17th, 18th, 19th): 2 Star Kayaking Proficiency
The 5 sessions will all be at Changi SSC. I will personally be going down on the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th for my 3 Star lessons, so we can all go together for lessons! 10am till 5pm each session. Membership costs $40 for I think 2 years, 1 star is $35, and 2 star is $50. Though you guys might think that it is a lot of money, but the proficiency cert is valid for lifetime, and if you guys wanna go university to showoff to chicks, then it is worthwhile investment.
All else said, our trainings to obtain the proficiency certificates will culminate in our finale 3D/2N Sea Expedition in May. At least we have something to work towards from now till then.
June (unknown): ORD TRIP
Road trip yet to be confirmed, we still have some time to work towards it, and we really must travel. Will wait for Shaun and the others to ORD.
Let me Know ASAP ok… Thanks

Hi guys
I think this formation is not bad, essentially it's the same as before, but i think more importantly, we must know WHEN to enter the penalty box when attacking. Cos i think we are all very lost as to whether to go inside or stay at the fringe area for the rebound, and this hesitation makes us lose valuable chances. We have to sort this out the next time we meet. Also, we need to sort out WHERE the wingers should aim their ball when crossing, so that in times where there is indecision on the part of the winger, he can just wack the ball to a pre-determined area, and our guys will know which area to run into roughly.
Things to sort out:
1) WHEN to enter the penalty box (for attacking players)
2) WHERE should the crosses roughly be aimed (near post? far post?)

Meiqi deserves some mentioning too, though i will kenna big time from the guys for saying this, but ya she looked nice in that black tube and pearl necklace =)
